Tapps Tracker is a free, open-source deck tracker for MTG Arena. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit tappstracker.com, and, briefly, what the app itself does. The short version: the app keeps your games on your computer, and this website uses a few standard third-party services to stay online and to understand how many people visit.

The Tapps Tracker app

The app reads the log file MTG Arena writes on your computer and stores your games, decks and stats in a database on your own disk. There is no account, and your games, decks, collection and stats are never sent to us or to anyone else. We run no server that receives them.

To do its job, the app does make some requests of its own:

  • It downloads public card data and images (from Scryfall, 17Lands' public card list and MTGJSON) so it can name and show cards.
  • Deck Finder fetches public decklists from the sites you choose in it (such as Moxfield, AetherHub, untapped.gg, MTGO, TCGplayer, magic.gg and YouTube).
  • It checks GitHub's public releases page to tell you when an update is available.
  • If, and only if, you add your own AI provider key for opponent archetype naming, the card names an opponent revealed are sent to the provider you chose, under that provider's terms.

Those requests carry what any web request does (your IP address and a user agent) to the service being asked. They contain no information about your games beyond the AI exception above. The source code is public on GitHub if you want to check.

This website

This site is a static website. It has no sign-up, no forms, and nothing for you to log into. The demos on the home page (the Replay viewer, Deck Manager, the Live Scoreboard, the overlay and the collection export panel) run entirely in your browser on data included with the page; nothing you do in them is sent anywhere, and Export video in the Replay demo renders on your device.

When you visit, these services receive information from your browser:

  • Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address, browser details and the pages requested in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts serves the site's typeface, so your browser requests it from Google's servers. See Google Fonts' privacy FAQ.
  • Google Analytics measures visits, as described below.

Card images on this site are copies stored with the site itself; your browser does not contact Scryfall or Wizards of the Coast to show them.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and sections are useful. It records things like the pages you view, how you arrived (for example, from a search or another site), your approximate location derived from your IP address, and your browser, device and screen size. It uses first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell one visit from another. We see only aggregated reports, not who you are. Google processes this data as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Advertising

Tapps Tracker is free, and we may show ads on this site to help pay for its development. When ads are shown, they are served by Google AdSense:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent before personalized ads or the cookies behind them are used, and can change that choice at any time from the consent message's settings link.

Cookies and local storage

  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, as described above.
  • Advertising cookies from Google and its partners, when ads are shown.
  • Local storage: the Replay demo remembers your table and playback settings in your browser so they stay the same next time. That stays on your device.

The site sets no other cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie to tell visitors from automated traffic.

Your choices

  • You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser's settings; the site works without them.
  • Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
  • We don't hold an account or profile about you, so there is nothing of yours stored with us to access, correct or delete. For data Google holds, use Google's privacy controls.
  • We don't sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Links to GitHub, Discord, Scryfall and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If what this site collects changes (for example, when ads are turned on), this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
